The most significant of these transformations though, include the fact that one of our (high school) students, Enock Kandaruku, became one of the top students in the entire country in the Ordinary Level Examinations. He literally scored A+ (95-100%) in all the eight subjects he sat! This is amazing considering that this is a boy picked by EENU from a so-called “third world” rural school in Northern Uganda that has been ravaged by war for over three decades. These rural schools do not have basic school facilities such as, text books, electricity, running water and so forth. So, Enock Kandaruku has been a front-page name in most of the top national news papers in the country for days during the second week of February and so did EENU for a sound reason. EENU celebrates his achievement.
Also during this visit, I met our students who now exude a phenomenal level of confidence in whatever they are doing in the community. During the holidays, they kept busy learning skills of making beads, earrings, baskets and table cloths among others. Samples of these are available in our office in the United States. They also performed excellent music, drama, and dance which attracted the attention of some local media. We had the chance to make a documentary of some of their activities which I invite you to experience using the following link.

With this positive trend of transformations I am more confident that if sustained, we are going to churn out a generation of Ugandans who will be able to change the social, economical, political and spiritual landscape of their country. This, when it happens, will be in keeping with the mission of EENU-USA Inc. which is “to provide means for educating young people in Uganda so that they may create a better way of life for themselves and their community”.
However, all these and more would not have been possible without your continued support and love for these children. For all these, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Always remember that whatever you give is never little and whatever you give is making a huge difference in the lives of these children. God will certainly reward you abundantly.
May the Good Lord continue to bless you abundantly.
